CHECK: Monitoring Program Performance

In RP 1185, operators are required to determine whether their engagement program has performed as intended. This begins with a process to monitor the implementation of processes developed for each of the six engagement elements.

The information collected throughout the implementation of processes in an operator’s program will inform overall program performance and the subsequent planning cycle.  This will apply to both specific initiatives or efforts—particularly engagement or outreach activities that are new—and to the program as a whole.

There are 18 minimum program documents, broken down by element or section in the RP, that will provide the necessary information for an operator to determine if they have implemented the program as intended. There may be additional documentation for specific events or activities undertaken to help an operator determine whether those events or activities helped them engage effectively with their stakeholders.

A review of the minimum program documents for each element (or section in the RP) will provide guidance for operators unsure of documents or information to collect.
